Join Our Team – Teaching Assistant Opportunity 

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children? A primary school in Bournemouth is looking for a dedicated, resilient, and nurturing Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team.

They are a specialist primary school for pupils aged 5–11 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, often including autism. With small class sizes, high staff-to-pupil ratios, and a strong therapeutic ethos, the school offers a truly rewarding environment where every day brings the chance to help a child succeed.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support individual and small groups of pupils with learning and emotional development

  • Help deliver a flexible, engaging curriculum tailored to each child’s needs

  • Work in a purpose-built, modern setting with sensory rooms, therapy spaces, and outdoor learning areas

  • Be part of a compassionate team guided by our core values: Resilient, Safe, Respectful

Essential: You must have experience working with children or young people with similar needs (SEMH and/or autism).
Desirable: Experience supporting students who have experienced trauma is a strong advantage.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
