Teaching Assistant – Full Time (Temporary)

Are you a passionate and caring Teaching Assistant looking for your next full-time opportunity? We are working closely with welcoming and supportive primary schools across Northampton who are seeking enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join their teams on a full-time, temporary basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in children’s learning and development while gaining valuable classroom experience.
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
-
Work with pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, including children with SEND or EAL
-
Help create a positive, safe, and nurturing learning environment
-
Assist with classroom management and behaviour support
-
Support pupils’ academic progress, confidence, and well-being
The Ideal Candidate
We’re looking for someone who:
-
Has experience working with children (school-based experience preferred)
-
Is patient, reliable, and enthusiastic about supporting young learners
-
Has strong communication and teamwork skills
-
Is adaptable and confident working across different year groups
-
Holds (or is willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
