Teaching Assistant – Bedford

Full-Time & Long-Term Opportunities | Immediate & Upcoming Starts

Are you a passionate and caring Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in the classroom? We are working closely with a range of welcoming primary schools across Northampton, seeking dedicated TAs to support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join inclusive school communities where your support will have a meaningful impact on children’s learning, confidence, and well-being.


The Role:

  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis

  • Assisting the class teacher with the delivery of engaging lessons

  • Supporting learning across the National Curriculum

  • Helping to create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment

  • Supporting pupils with additional needs where required


The Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience working with children (school-based experience preferred)

  • Passionate about supporting children’s learning and development

  • Confident supporting EYFS, KS1 or KS2

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Safeguarding awareness (or willingness to complete training)

  • Able to commit to full-time, long-term work


Location & Travel:

  • Roles available across Northampton

  • Candidates able to travel 30–40 minutes are encouraged to apply

  • Accessible by public transport and car

  • Relevant qualifications

  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
