1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant
Near Beaminster | Regular Mornings | Potential to Extend to Full Days

Teaching Personnel is seeking a patient, reliable and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support a primary school located near Beaminster. This position begins as regular morning work, with the opportunity to extend into full-day support for the right person.

You will be working 1:1 with a pupil who requires additional guidance, providing consistency, emotional support and help accessing learning throughout the morning sessions. The school is warm, welcoming and committed to providing the right strategies for their pupils.

The role:

• 1:1 support for a pupil with SEN needs

• Regular morning sessions with the potential to move into full days

• Providing emotional regulation, learning support and structured routines

• Working closely with the class teacher and SENCo

• Supporting behaviour, confidence and engagement in class

• Based near Beaminster, with opportunities in nearby areas if open to travel

We are looking for someone who:

• Has SEN experience (essential)

• Is calm, nurturing and confident supporting dysregulation or additional needs

• Can commit to consistent morning support

• Is open to extending to full-day hours over time

• Is happy to commute to schools around Beaminster and nearby towns

• Enjoys being part of a supportive, child-focused team
