Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Year 5
Location: Poole
Contract: Part-time – 2 days per week
Start Date: After February half term
Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a supportive and welcoming primary school in Poole to recruit an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to provide cover within a Year 5 class.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident HLTA looking for a consistent, part-time role within Key Stage 2.
The Role:
- Providing cover and classroom support in a Year 5 class
- Delivering pre-planned lessons where required
- Supporting pupils’ progress across the KS2 curriculum
- Leading small group interventions
- Working closely with the class teacher and wider staff team
- 2 days per week, starting after February half term
The Ideal Candidate:
- Holds HLTA status or has significant classroom experience at HLTA level
- Confident covering lessons in a KS2 setting
- Strong classroom management skills
- Organised, proactive and adaptable
- DBS on the Update Service preferred, or willing to apply through Teaching Personnel

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
