Teaching Assistant
Location: Abergavenny, Wales
Pay: £82.51 – £90 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: ASAP
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 3:00 pm

About the Role
Teaching Personnel is collaborating with a well-regarded secondary school in Abergavenny to recruit a dedicated Teaching Assistant. This is an amazing opportunity to contribute to students’ academic and personal growth while working alongside experienced educators. You will assist in creating a supportive and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities

Assist in preparing lesson materials and supporting the lead teacher.

Create a welcoming and positive atmosphere to encourage student engagement.

Foster strong, supportive relationships with pupils, helping them feel comfortable.

Participate in ongoing training and professional development offered by the school.

Aid students in understanding daily activities and developing their skills.
Essential Requirements

Enhanced DBS clearance, registered on the update service (or willingness to obtain).

EWC registration (or willingness to apply).

Ability to provide two recent references.

Right to work in the UK, ensuring compliance with regulations.

Safeguarding Level 2 certification (provided free by Teaching Personnel).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
