Location: Monmouthshire
Position: Full-Time
Pay Rate: £82.51 per day
Hours: 8:30 am – 3:10 pm
Start Date: 1st September 2025
About the Role:
We are looking for a passionate and resilient Behaviour Mentor to join our team at secondary schools in and around the Abergavenny area. As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a key role in supporting students with challenging behaviours, helping them develop positive attitudes toward learning and personal growth.
This position is ideal for individuals who are patient, understanding, and committed to making a positive difference in young people’s lives. You will work closely with students on a one-to-one basis or in small groups, providing both emotional and academic support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with challenging behaviours, helping them to build positive relationships and develop social skills.
- Work closely with teaching staff to create a safe and supportive learning environment.
- Implement behaviour management strategies and promote positive behaviour in line with the school’s policies.
- Monitor students' progress and provide regular feedback to teachers and parents.
- Encourage personal growth, resilience, and a positive mindset in students.
- Assist in delivering tailored learning activities to meet individual needs.
Requirements:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude toward working with young people.
- Experience working with secondary school students (desirable but not essential).
- A genuine passion for helping students overcome challenges.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to apply).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
