Teaching Assistant – (Full Time)

We are currently looking for staff to work as support staff, in a full-time capacity for the remainder of the academic year. The role, which initially will be through us at Teaching Personnel, does have the scope to become permanent with the council, provided that is something you are looking for!

So, whether you are:

  • A recent University Graduate
  • Finishing Secondary School/College and looking for full time work
  • Somebody with prior Teaching Assistant work
  • Someone with prior experience in the care/support sector
  • The role may be perfect for you!

We work very closely with several schools in the local authority, who are all in need of additional support. While all the roles are on a full-time basis – some positions may be more suitable for some than others. We have active vacancies in local Secondary Schools, Primary Schools and a big 3-19 Special Needs school.

While these particular positions are starting in November, we also have work available for the remainder of this school year. So, if you’re somebody with little experience working with children or vulnerable people, it may be a good idea to discuss with us what work we have to get you ready!

The Roles Involve:

  • 1:1 or 2:1 intervention with certain pupils statemented with learning difficulties
  • Assisting the teacher with their day-to-day tasks & the lesson plans
  • Helping out on school trips
  • Being involved with the creation and implementation of learning plans for your student

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
