Learning Support Assistant required in Shillingstone, North Dorset!

Teaching Personnel are seeking a special needs LSA for an SEN school near Blandford Forum. This special needs school caters for pupils between the ages of 7-19 with Autism (ASC) and associated complex needs.

The Role of a Learning Support Assistant

  • To support teachers in their delivery and management of learning
  • To provide emotional and physical care for students during their day
  • To work as part of the educational team to maintain a happy and caring environment that puts the welfare of students at the forefront
  • To help students achieve their personal best

You will learn from some of the most dedicated and inspirational people in the profession and just like the students you will be learning all the time through on-going mentoring and support.

Personal Profile

You will have a keen interest in assisting our students to learn, be a strong team player, confident, motivated and well organised. Patience and commitment are essential, but above all you'll be someone with a genuine desire to help others.

Experience of supporting children or adults with autism or other special needs is essential. It would be beneficial if you have classroom based experience.
