Teaching Assistant (Autism Support)

Do you have experience working with Autism or as a carer for someone with ASC?

We are currently recruiting for a teaching assistant to join a primary school in the Salford area for children who have special educational needs.
Students at this school are both male and female and range from nursery age (2) up to 11 years. Students will have a mix of needs which can be profound, complex and challenging. Candidates ideally will have experience working with ASC and PMLD. Experience of S+L and PECS would also be useful as well as Team-Teach training or similar.

The schools ethos is to promote learning through enjoyment and they offer a meaningful and inspiring curriculum based on planned holistic learning. All students at this school will have an Educational Health Care Plan in place for their safety and development.
Duties included in this role will mainly include supporting students within the classroom in accordance to their education plans therefore candidates will need to be flexible and ready for a challenge.

The daily rate of work is £9.50 per hour, averaging at £57 per day for standard school hours. Teaching Personnel provide supply assistants to school in the Manchester area which creates the perfect opportunity for flexible work or gaining experience around other responsibilities.
