Our school provides an alternative and structured education to children with Autism Spectrum Condition, ensuring their learning styles and sensory needs are met in all aspects of their learning experience.
As their Teaching Assistant, you will support the teacher whilst they deliver the curriculum and activities, by managing behaviour, needs and inclusion of all students. Ensuring everyone is engaged and interacting with one another is imperative for their development and helps their social, emotional and educational progression.
The ideal candidate for this role will have some experience or knowledge of autism spectrum condition, as well as a caring and nurturing personality to help build a secure environment for the students. It is important for all students to feel they are not judged and can develop openly, helping them to become more confident.
The safety and well-being of the students at all times is essential therefore you must always adhere to strict safeguarding policies put in place by the school. You must report any unusual behaviours or information by students or staff, to your supervisor. Please be aware that inability to follow these procedures will not be tolerated.
