Teaching Personnel work with an SEN school in the Oldham area who are in need of a Teaching Assistant to support a small class of children with their learning needs. The class have multiple special educational needs, predominantly autism. 

You

As a Teaching Assistant you will work Monday to Friday 8.30am-3.30pm however the role can also be available on a part time or day to day basis.

Your role is to work within the classroom, managing behaviour, helping to deliver the curriculum, ensuring the students are involved and assisting with any other needs which may arise. You will be expected to handle any personal care needs and ensure you have the well being of the students in mind at all times.

Having a good knowledge of SEN in general but mainly Autism is beneficial, and a non judgemental and enthusiastic attitude would suit the learning environment.

Please be aware it is essential to have an enhanced, child only DBS which is registered to the update service, or be willing to obtain one via Teaching Personnel.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
