Are you looking for a flexible, Teaching Assistant role?

Teaching Personnel are working alongside several Secondary schools in the Bolton region, aiding them in the recruitment of Teaching Assistants for the new academic year. Due to an increased demand for supply staff within our client schools and this being the busiest time of the year for supply work, we are looking to register aspiring Teaching Assistants for a variety of support roles within our client Secondary schools.

  • Work alongside class teachers supporting students aged 11-16 across a range of subjects including Maths and English.
  • Work opportunities available from September 2019.
  • Providing tuition and small group interventions to pupils ranging in ability
  • Opportunity to cover full classes with the support of class teachers
  • Gain experience in a classroom setting
  • Earn up to £300 per week depending upon previous experience

Working as a Teaching Assistant in one of our client schools will include the following roles and responsibilities:

  • Working in both small groups and 1:1 with identified pupils that require additional support within specific subjects.
  • Supporting the class teacher and helping to cover pre-planned lessons in their absence.
  • Delivering intervention sessions to support pupils' progress and attainment.
  • Ensure all students have the correct support and that class teachers also have the help they require in the classroom.

Application requirements

  • You must have experience working within a educational setting with children and young people or skills that are transferrable within a Teaching Assistant capacity.
  • Any specific experience in English, Maths or Science is desirable.
  • Level 2/3 or equivalent qualification is also greatly acknowledged for success in this role.

Our client schools are based across the Bolton region and are easily accessible via the M61 and A58 from the surrounding areas of Greater Manchester. Many of our client schools can also be accessed via several public transportation links within Bolton and neighbouring areas.

For immediate consideration, please submit a full CV to Megan Knight. To obtain further information, please contact the Manchester West Secondary Office on the contact number provided below;
