Job description

‍♀️ Eastbourne Primary Teachers – We Need You

Day-to-Day & Short-Term Cover in Eastbourne Primary Schools

Calling Eastbourne-based teachers who want flexibility without the pressure of a permanent post.

Whether you’re:

  • Getting back into teaching after a break

  • A new or recently qualified teacher finding your feet

  • Looking for part-time or occasional work

  • Wanting short-term or day-to-day cover only

…this one’s for you.

My name is Gabriel, and I’m Teaching Personnel’s East Sussex Primary Consultant, supporting a range of primary schools across Eastbourne.

I work closely with schools to provide reliable, well-supported teachers for short-term and day cover, making sure placements suit your experience, confidence, and availability — not the other way around.

This isn’t about throwing you into a role and hoping for the best. It’s about:

  • The right school

  • The right expectations

  • The right level of support

So you can focus on teaching, not firefighting.

Who Is This Ideal For?

You’ll be a great fit if you:

  • Hold QTS (ECTs very welcome)

  • Are returning to teaching after time away

  • Want day-to-day or short-term cover only

  • Prefer part-time or flexible work

  • Want to build confidence without committing to a long-term role

  • Enjoy variety and working in different school settings

No pressure to take long-term placements. No pressure to work full-time. You stay in control.

What’s on Offer?

  • Day-to-day and short-term primary teaching cover

  • EYFS, KS1, and KS2 opportunities

  • Part-time and flexible working patterns

  • Local Eastbourne schools only

  • Teaching roles paid to scale

  • Support and guidance, especially if you’re returning or newly qualified

Some teachers want regular days each week.
Others just want occasional cover that fits around life.
We support both.

Why Register Instead of Applying for One-Off Roles?

Registering means you’re joining a local Eastbourne supply pool, not chasing individual jobs.

You’ll get:

  • Access to multiple Eastbourne primary schools

  • Honest insight into schools before you go in

  • Flexibility over when and where you work

  • Ongoing opportunities without reapplying each time

  • A dedicated consultant who understands classroom realities

  • Easy booking and availability management via the myTP app

The Practical Bits

  • Roles based in Eastbourne

  • Immediate and upcoming cover needs

  • Teaching roles paid to scale

  • Child-only DBS required (support available if needed)

Interested?

If you’re an Eastbourne primary teacher looking for flexible, short-term or day-to-day work — especially if you’re returning to teaching, newly qualified, or want part-time hours — I’d love to hear from you.

Register today, and let’s find work that fits your experience, your confidence, and your life.
