About the Training Programme
Classroom-Based Experience
You will be placed in a local school, gaining first-hand experience of teaching and learning. Working alongside experienced teachers, you’ll develop skills in lesson planning, classroom management, assessment, and pupil engagement.
Professional Training and CPD
Alongside your school placement, you’ll take part in structured training sessions covering key areas such as curriculum delivery, behaviour management, inclusion, safeguarding, and professional practice.
Mentoring and Support
You’ll receive ongoing support from a dedicated mentor who will provide regular feedback, guidance, and coaching throughout the programme to support your development and confidence in the classroom.
Progression to QTS
On successful completion, you’ll be supported to progress into Initial Teacher Training (ITT) or a PGCE, moving toward Qualified Teacher Status and long-term career opportunities in education.
Salary and Financial Support
- £22,000 – £25,000 per year
A competitive salary is provided throughout the training programme, allowing you to focus on your development without the financial burden of traditional training routes.
Entry Requirements
Essential:
- A bachelor’s degree in any subject
- GCSEs in English and Mathematics (Grade C/4 or above)
Desirable:
- A Levels in any subject
- Experience working with children or young people
