The role commences in September 2019 and is for a qualified teacher who is looking for an opportunity to work in a specialist setting. The position is for a teacher who is seeking a temporary position commencing as possible and running until the academic year.

The setting is an outstanding Multi Academy trust which runs across 4 sites based in Oldham. Sites cater for individuals between 4 - 19 with a Statement of SEN or an EHCP, on the autistic spectrum and/or have significant communication and interaction difficulties and social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH).

The role will involve planning and delivering lessons which are designed to support the optimal development of pupils with SEN. Due to the specific needs of the pupils we would be interested in applicants who have a considerable amount of experience supporting children or young people with SEN.

The ideal teacher will have experience working within a special needs school, however this is not essential as long as the teacher can demonstrate a genuine commitment to supporting pupils with SEN in achieving their optimal potential.

The successful teacher will be:

• An experienced teacher who is committed to supporting and encouraging the development of pupils with SEN needs

• Be able to adapt lessons to assure that learning is accessible to pupils with SEN

• Be able to establish and maintain working relationships with other staff, pupils, parents and the wider community

• Ideally Team-Teach trained (can be provided)
