Teacher - SEN

Teacher needed for Primary SEN School in Bellingham. The position is to start in September, however, interviews are taking place this term.

The right candidate will have experience teaching SEN primary school children, the right qualifications and a DBS on the updated system. Due to the nature of the childrens special needs, the school welcomes alternative methods of teaching.

The pay rate is £120 -£150 per day, however, the final rate is determined by experience.

The school specialises in supporting pupils with Social Emotional mental health and Learning difficulties, with some pupils on the Autism spectrum. There are 4 classes, with 8 pupils per class. There is also an outreach prevention service that supports pupils to ensure they are able to attend mainstream school. The school had a new head teacher join in 2016, who was able to improve the school greatly. The school has excellent relationships with the parents and encourages all its staff to maintain constant communication with parents to help the pupils progress. The staff at the school are very welcoming and caring, with a very lovely school environment.

The school is situated in a very nice area with on site parking and excellent transport links.

The right candidate will be offered any necessary training by the school should they need it.
