Primary Teacher needed for SEN School in Salford

Are you a Primary teacher looking for a rewarding role working with children with special educational needs?

Do you want to work in a school with a holistic approach to learning, offering enjoyable and meaningful experiences to the curriculum?

Are you looking to challenge yourself by working in an environment that requires you to be flexible, adaptable and passionate?

We are currently recruiting for the role of a Primary school teacher in the Salford area for a school supporting children with profound, complex and challenging needs.
All children within the school have Education Health Care Plans therefore it is essential that candidates are organised and adaptable to meet the needs of the students, whilst being innovative, inspiring and practical.
Teachers are supported in class with Teaching assistants who will help multiple students with behaviour and learning, whilst the teacher is expected to deliver the curriculum and create an enthusiastic and supportive learning environment.

The school are looking to employ a Primary teacher continue to deliver their holistic approach to learning whilst being able to cope with children on all levels of the spectrum. Candidates can expect students to have needs such as SLD, PMLD, ASC and will need a knowledge of speech and language therapy/ PECS.

Experience required for this role includes:

  • A knowledge of the Primary curriculum
  • Experience working within a specialist school
  • Experience with younger primary children
