About the Schools
A cluster of Alternative Provision (AP) schools across the Wirral and Liverpool area is dedicated to supporting young people who have struggled in mainstream education. These schools provide tailored education for students who have faced significant challenges, with the aim of helping them overcome barriers to learning and successfully reintegrate into mainstream education or progress into a sustained Post-16 pathway.
The Role
The schools are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Teacher to join one of their sites. The successful candidate will deliver a broad and balanced curriculum to small classes, while creating a supportive and nurturing environment where students can achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities

Delivering engaging lessons across a range of subjects, adapting plans to meet the individual needs of students.

Supporting students in breaking down barriers to learning and developing positive attitudes towards education.

Monitoring progress and working collaboratively with colleagues to implement strategies for improvement.

Maintaining effective communication with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to student support.

Assisting students with reintegration into mainstream school or supporting their transition into further education, training, or employment.
Candidate Requirements

Compassion – a genuine commitment to supporting the well-being and future success of every student.

Experience – prior experience in an AP setting or with students who have faced educational challenges is desirable, though not essential.

Adaptability – flexibility in teaching methods to meet the diverse and individual needs of students.

Strong communication skills – the ability to engage effectively with students, colleagues, parents, and multi-agency partners.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
