Teacher - Pupil Referral

Teaching Personnel work closely with a pupil referral unit in Doncaster and have been approached to find an experienced teacher that can teach right up to KS5 to fill the vacancy.

You would need to be able to differentiate your work on a daily basis to help engage the pupils in the work and you may be needed in a variety of different classes.

The school caters for students who have been excluded or are in the process of being excluded and require additional support.

You must be a qualified teacher and have experience supporting students who can display very challenging behaviour in a school-based environment. You must have the ability to build a rapport with a non-judgemental attitude and be passionate about improving the lives of young people.

The classes are smaller than mainstream and you'll have the support of several teaching assistants so you will have a really strong opportunity to positively change a child's life.

The ideal candidate will be willing to work on a supply basis initially whilst we seek a longer term opportunity for you. The school are known to appoint candidates on a longer term basis. However, longer term opportunities usually arise quickly for those candidates who show initiative, are proactive and receive positive feedback from their supply assignments.
