Here at Teaching Personnel we are recruiting a Science Teacher with the ability to teach up to Key Stage 5 in Chemistry, Biology or Physics for one of our client schools. The school itself is located just North of Sunderland City Centre and has a highly successful Science department who have enjoyed strong exam results for the past 6 years. The role will be beginning ASAP and will be offered as a permanent role after a successful preliminary period.
The successful candidate will help to continue the department’s success participating in all faculty meetings, collaborative lesson planning across the department and helping with whole school initiatives including ‘Science Week’.
Candidate Requirements:
- Ability to teach all Sciences at Key Stage 4, offering one subject at Key Stage 5
- Ability to plan and deliver differentiated lessons for all pupils to access the curriculum
- Strong record of raising attainment of low achieving pupils at GCSE
- Effective behaviour management skills to re-engage students
- Evidence of strong GCSE results
