Teacher of Science – Secondary School in Basingstoke (January 2026 Start)

Teaching Personnel are working with a well-regarded secondary school in Basingstoke who are seeking a dedicated and inspiring Teacher of Science to join their team from January 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to deliver high-quality Science teaching across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, supporting students in developing confidence, curiosity, and a passion for scientific discovery.

The school prides itself on fostering an engaging and supportive learning environment, making this a fantastic role for an experienced teacher, an ECT, or an unqualified teacher with strong Science subject knowledge.


The Role:

  • Full-time Teacher of Science position
  • Start date: January 2026
  • Delivering engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Planning, teaching, and assessing Biology, Chemistry, and Physics content
  • Supporting the Science department with curriculum development
  • Creating a positive classroom environment where all students can succeed

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold QTS, be an ECT, or possess strong specialist knowledge in Science
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and classroom management skills
  • Be confident teaching mixed-ability groups at KS3 and KS4
  • Show commitment to supporting student progress and raising attainment
  • Bring enthusiasm, organisation, and a collaborative approach
