Teacher of Maths and Science (or Science and Maths) – Basingstoke – Permanent Position – January 2026 Start

Are you a passionate and qualified teacher who enjoys teaching both Maths and Science? A thriving secondary school in Basingstoke is seeking a dedicated and versatile educator to join their team on a permanent basis from January 2026.

The school is looking for a teacher who can confidently teach Maths and Science, or Science and Maths, across Key Stages 3 and 4. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire curiosity, logical thinking, and problem-solving in two core subjects that shape students’ futures. You’ll be joining a supportive and collaborative department that encourages creative teaching and professional development.

About the Role:

  • Permanent, full-time position starting January 2026
  • Teach Maths and Science (or Science and Maths) across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that inspire and challenge students
  • Support academic progress and foster a love of learning in both subjects
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school and department initiatives

Candidate Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential (the school will only consider applicants with QTS)
  • Strong subject knowledge in Maths and Science
  • Ability to adapt teaching styles to engage learners of all abilities
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills
  • A passion for helping students achieve their full potential
