Teacher of Maths responsible for KS3 for September 2019

The school, which is based on the south coast in the port city of Portsmouth, are looking to recruit an ambitious teacher of Mathematics who has 2-3 years experience on a full time permanent basis for September. You will work to support the Head of Mathematics as the lead of KS3 Maths. This role represents an excellent opportunity for a professional who is seeking their first TLR position in a successful and expanding Mathematics Department.

The school are vibrant and diverse with high expectations for all of their pupils. Their vision is for every member of their community to flourish; staff and students alike. They aim to provide not only a high quality and innovative curriculum through excellent teaching and learning but also a superior continual professional development programme for their staff.

The successful candidate will be:

  • An outstanding teacher of Mathematics who can demonstrate that they are well qualified with an excellent track record of results
  • Ambitious in their career
  • Able to encourage and enthuse students to achieve their full potential
  • Able to bring new ideas and energy to the KS4 curriculum
  • Able to participate in the delivery of CPD and support other colleagues
  • Able to plan a well thought out curriculum which aims to raise attainment and love of the subject
