Teacher of Mathematics – Farnborough

Full-Time | Long-Term and Permanent Opportunities | KS3 and KS4

Teaching Personnel is seeking a committed and inspiring Teacher of Mathematics for secondary schools across Farnborough.

Schools in the area offer carefully sequenced Mathematics curricula designed to build secure, long-term understanding. There is a strong focus on fluency, reasoning, mathematical language and applying knowledge to unfamiliar situations rather than simply memorising procedures.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering Mathematics across KS3 and KS4
  • Teaching GCSE Foundation and Higher Tier
  • Modelling mathematical methods clearly
  • Developing students’ fluency, reasoning and resilience
  • Using questioning and assessment to identify knowledge gaps
  • Providing constructive feedback and targeted intervention
  • Supporting mixed-ability and SEND learners
  • Maintaining a calm and purposeful classroom
  • Working collaboratively within the Mathematics department

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds QTS or an equivalent qualification
  • Has strong curriculum and subject knowledge
  • Can build students’ confidence in Mathematics
  • Uses assessment effectively to inform teaching
  • Sets high expectations for progress and behaviour
  • Is reflective, organised and collaborative
  • Is committed to safeguarding and student welfare

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
