Teacher of History

Salary: MPS/UPS (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time, permanent
Start Date: ASAP(or sooner by negotiation)
Location: Northampton

Are you passionate about bringing the past to life and inspiring the next generation of historians? Do you have the drive to help students understand the lessons of history and how they shape the world today? If so, we would love to hear from you.

About the Role

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of History to join our successful Humanities Faculty. This is a fantastic opportunity for an inspirational classroom practitioner who can deliver engaging, challenging and well-structured lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with the potential to teach A-Level for the right candidate).

The successful candidate will share our belief that history is central to helping young people develop critical thinking skills, empathy, and an informed understanding of the modern world. You will be joining a collaborative team that values creativity, academic rigour, and a love of learning.

What We’re Looking For

  • A qualified teacher with QTS (or working towards QTS) and a strong subject knowledge in History.

  • A reflective practitioner who is passionate about teaching and learning.

  • Someone with the ability to motivate, inspire and challenge students of all abilities.

  • Commitment to raising achievement and delivering outstanding outcomes.

  • A team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to contribute positively to our school community.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
