Location: Northampton
Salary: MPS/UPS (Dependent on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Start Date: September 2025 (or earlier if available)

Are you a passionate and dedicated English teacher looking to inspire the next generation of learners? We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of English to join our vibrant and forward-thinking English department in Northampton.

About the Role:

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable), fostering a love of literature and language, and contributing to the wider school community. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and ambitious team in a school that values creativity, academic excellence, and professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to meet the needs of all learners.

  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress.

  • Contribute to curriculum development and extracurricular activities.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to raise standards of achievement.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

  • Have a degree in English or a related subject.

  • Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching.

  • Be committed to inclusive education and continuous professional development.

  • Have excellent communication and classroom management skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
