Are you a Computing or Computer Science Teacher looking for a new role? Speak to Teaching Personnel today!

On behalf of one of our clients in Sunderland, TP are looking to recruit an experienced Computer Science Teacher who is able to work proactively to raise pupil attainment across Key Stage 4. The ideal person will be comfortable working on their own initiative with limited input from their line manager, as they will be the only Computer Science specialist within the IT department. The successful candidate will be solely responsible for the planning and delivery of Computer Science to the GCSE cohorts and will support the department with the Key Stage 3 schemes of work.

This is a year long role beginning in February 2021, ongoing until May 2022 to cover a maternity leave in the first instance.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Computer Science Specialist
  • Experience delivering GCSE/BTEC lessons and moderating coursework
  • Able to plan schemes of work on their own
  • Evidence of being able to meet or exceed performance targets

About the School:

  • Inner-city based in Sunderland
  • 3 person IT department with 2 ICT specialists and 1 Media specialist
  • Positive growth in Progress 8 scores across the school
  • Experienced Senior Leadership who are present and visible to deal with behavioural issues (including on call)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
