Part-Time KS2 Teacher – Barnard Castle

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Key Stage 2 (KS2) Teacher to join our friendly and supportive team in Barnard Castle on a part-time basis.

Position: Part-Time KS2 Teacher
Location: Barnard Castle, County Durham

Contract Type: Part-time 

About the Role:
You will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality lessons to KS2 pupils, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. The role includes planning, assessment, and contributing to the wider school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons in line with the KS2 curriculum
  • Assess, record, and report on pupil progress
  • Support the academic and personal development of all pupils
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and support staff

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Have experience teaching within KS2
  • Demonstrate strong classroom management skills
  • Be enthusiastic, adaptable, and committed to pupil success
  • Have excellent communication and teamwork skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
