Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Durham (DH1) to recruit a Key Stage 1 Teacher for a full-time position starting in September. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and dedicated teacher looking to make a positive impact at the start of the academic year.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning to Key Stage 1 pupils, creating an engaging and supportive classroom environment, and contributing positively to the wider school community.
Job Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and assess engaging lessons in line with the KS1 National Curriculum
- Create a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment
- Monitor, assess and report on pupil progress effectively
- Manage classroom behaviour to support positive learning outcomes
- Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and carers
- Contribute to school activities, staff meetings and professional development
Key Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching within Key Stage 1
- Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum and assessment frameworks
- Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
