What is the Future Teachers Programme?

The Future Teachers Programme is a scheme across England & Wales, designed to help address the current shortages of teachers, by attracting and supporting graduates who are considering a career in teaching, but wish to gain paid school based experience prior to starting a teacher training course.

How does it work?

You will begin your journey to teaching as a Graduate Teaching Assistant working at one of our client Primary school's, starting in January 2020. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will engage in a range of tasks to get a full feel of what it would be like to be a teacher, from supporting pupils with their studies in small groups and 1:1, to assisting class teachers across all departments including your specialism and getting involved with planning/delivering your own lessons!

Upon successful completion as a graduate teaching assistant, you will begin a school based teacher training programme from September 2020 within a lead training school.

What are the benefits?

You will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience as a Graduate Teaching Assistant with one of our reputable partner Primary Schools and progress with the same school to do your teacher training on site! Best of all, you will earn up to GBP1080 a month for your first year whilst enhancing your confidence, subject knowledge and teaching ability prior to beginning your training.

Am I eligible to apply for the Future Teacher Programme?

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
