Teaching Personnel is seeking teachers in Dorset, particularly in the Wimborne and Dorchester areas. We are collaborating with multiple schools that have immediate vacancies and upcoming opportunities in the pipeline.

Positions are available to start as soon as this term, with additional opportunities coming up in September.

These roles we are working with come vary, for example:

Year 2 Teacher, Wimborne      Year 3 Dorchester

Year 6 Teacher, Wimborne      Year 4 Dorchester

Year 6 Teacher, Wimborne      Year 6 Dorchester

All the aforementioned roles are currently active and available during term time only; however, some of these positions may become permanent opportunities for the right candidate. 

Teaching personnel work in several ways:

  • Long-term roles involve placements in a school for more than ten weeks, potentially extending further, with a commitment of one to five days per week.
  • Short-term roles are positions at a school lasting one to ten weeks, also ranging from one to five days per week.
  • Ad-hoc, day-to-day bookings are made in advance or on the same day to cover absences due to illness or holidays.

What you will need:

  • Required documents for the right to work and vetting are necessary when working with children, and Teaching Personnel can assist in this process.
  • A passion for education and experience in various primary school settings is essential.
  • Flexibility in working across different schools and key stages is also important.
  • Possession of Fully Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is required.
  • Ability to adapt and communicate effectively with both staff and pupils.

Registration Process: Simply provide your Right to Work documents, qualifications, proof of identity, references, Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, Safeguarding certificate, and any other applicable documents. Call our Dorset branch, if you are unsure, to discuss the requirements for registering with Teaching Personnel, which will allow you to work with children. Our dedicated consultants are here to assist you throughout the vetting process.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
