A primary school based in Hayes, Hillingdon providing learning and social support for children throughout the borough with autism is looking to appoint newly qualified and experienced teachers to join their growing team.

The school are well known for sharing best practice and providing autism training for other primary schools across Hillingdon. They are interested in candidates looking for a school that will support developing their teaching career, value and recognise their teaching abilities.  

Having either mainstream, early years (nursery) or a special educational needs background is highly beneficial due to the curriculum however NQTs are welcome to apply and will be supported by the school’s NQT Mentor.

The role involves working  closely with staff and specialists within the school to plan, deliver engaging and creative lessons for children with autism spectrum condition and assess their progress. Pupils learning across Early Years to KS1 with importance on developing pupils learning, social, communication and independence skills.

If you are passionate about teaching and have an interest in working with children with special needs, this would be an ideal role for you.

The ideal candidate must:

  • Have teaching experience in mainstream schools, early years (Nurseries) or a special needs setting
  • Have relevant UK recognised teaching qualifications
  • Be experienced or open to teaching children with autism on Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs)  
  • Have right to work in the UK and with children (Child or Child and Adult DBS)
  • Be flexible and organised
  • Be patient, compassionate and ambitious

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
