Students attend the Academy from a distance of up to 15 miles. Many of the students live in small villages that surround Sleaford. The housing is still affordable and there are many beautiful villages and towns offering a high quality, rural lifestyle. Sleaford is a rural market town, with a mix of new and historic housing. The nearest large centre of population is the Cathedral City of Lincoln, 19 miles away. The Academy growth reflects the growth in the local population and the parental preference for the Academy over other schools.

The Academy is also part of a joint sixth form of around 700 students. This is an exciting venture that allows for a very wide choice for the students and for viable group numbers in all subjects. There is a full range of qualifications undertaken in the sixth form, including A2, AS, BTEC and NVQ. The joint sixth-form is a vibrant community and is taught across two school campuses, within walking distance of each other.
