Teaching Assistants experienced in Autism required for Bracknell resource base!

A specialist resource base in Bracknell are seeking a Teaching Assistant to support the needs of students aged 11 - 18 with Autism on a small group and 1:1 basis.
The students attend the school due to a diagnosis of Autism and many have co-existing conditions including ADHD, sensory processing disorder, learning disabilities, disruptive behaviour disorders, mood disorders, anxiety, tics and Tourette syndrome, epilepsy and learning disabilities. You must be confident and capable of supporting pupils who have problems with communication, toileting, eating or have sensory difficulties. You must be resilient and have the ability to work proactively with challenging behaviour.
Class sizes are small and there will usually be a Teacher, HLTA and other Teaching Assistants in the classroom, however, you will be expected to use your own initiative and work proactively.
You must have experience in supporting children / adults with Autism or have a close personal connection to Autism. Candidates with Team Teach or experience in PECS and / or Makaton are highly sought after.
You must be fully available and be available to trial in school ASAP.
The school have been known to appoint candidates who get on particularly well on a permanent basis.
