Role: Support Worker

Salary: GBP10.20 per hour

Location: Camborne

If so, Teaching Personnel wants to hear from you.

We are currently looking for a support workers to assist on a 1:1 basis with pupils aged 4 – 25.  The roles available are part time and full time and a permanent contract may be offered to the right person. To be considered for this role, you must have a full, clean driving licence and access to a car as these roles are community based and will require you to go out with the pupils. Business Insurance is a necessity to enable the community led work. These students may have an interest in art, sport, wildlife, being outdoors and much more and you will go with them throughout the day. Academic support in Maths and English may also be needed and so a good understanding of this to GCSE level is preferred.

As a Support Worker, you would:

  • Work with the people we support in a range of activities
  • Assist with the daily activities
  • Encourage the people we support to try new things
  • Help create a fun and lively environment
  • Track outcomes to ensure that the people we support make progress

What we need from you

We don’t ask for specific skills or experience, for us it’s all about finding people who share in our values of being honest, creative, united, responsive and strong. You should combine a friendly and compassionate personality with the genuine desire to help others. We like to see that our Learning Support Assistants have a good work ethic and take pride in creating an environment where the people we support enjoy being.

To be considered for these positions, you will need to obtain a child only DBS and register it to the Update Service (this can be achieved by Teaching Personnel) as well as 2 relevant and recent references.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
