We are currently looking for Support Workers or those with special educational need experience for a Secondary department in an SEN School in Uxbridge, West London starting immediately. There are both full-time and short term roles available due to an increase in pupil’s numbers.

Roles are available across KS3 and KS4 classes both full-time Monday to Friday or a minimum of 3 days a week between Mondays to Friday with hours from 8:30 – 4:00pm.

The school provide support for secondary aged children with autism, physical, communication and sensory needs with small classes of up to 8 children. Some children may have limited or no speech, display behaviours that may challenge, be in wheelchairs or require medical support.

A working day in the department is focused on 1:1 or small group learning and life skills based activities tailored to each child’s needs. Sports, Art, music, therapy and outdoor learning are encouraged to promote social interaction, communication and independence skills.

They are looking for caring people that are confident and open to supporting children a range of special needs ensuring their needs are met and they are able to learn in a safe and encouraging environment.

You DO NOT need to be a Support Worker to be considered as all applicants are welcome but skills such as personal care, moving and handling are preferred.

Being open to a career and training within the school is ideal as if you do well there are opportunities to apply for contracts.
