Support Worker, Chorley Behavioural Unit

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a School based in the Chorley area which caters specifically for pupils with SEMH Difficulties, Autism, ADHD, ODD, Conduct Disorder and challenging behaviours. The School is smaller than average and caters for KS3/4 pupils. The School is based on the outskirts of Chorley, near the M61 motorway and candidates applying for this role must be available full time as the School hours are 8.30am - 3.15pm. The candidate must be willing to work alongisde pupils who may display challenging behaviours and candidates must be confident in their behaviour management skills. 

The candidate must be hard working, empathetic, enthusiastic and experienced in working with pupils with SEMH Difficulties and SEN. The School will consider candidates from a range of backgrounds including; Youth Worker, care backgrounds, education, military and a policing background. 

The School are hoping to appoint a Teaching / Support Assistant on a long term basis and there is the possibility for candidates to become permanent. 

The candidate must have strong behaviour management skills and be willing to work on a 1:1 or small group basis with the pupils. 

The successful candidate will benefit from: 

- Negotiable pay rates GBP57 - 67 per day
