Support/Teaching Assistants - Ealing

We are looking for confident individuals with experience or interest working with children with special needs in Ealing. We work exclusively with three schools who offer investment and support to those who are committed to the development and wellbeing of those with special needs.

Based across Ealing we have positions in the following areas:

  • Primary and secondary classes for children with autism, speech and language and learning difficulties
  • Primary and secondary classes for children with medical needs, severe learning difficulties, physical disabilities and social needs
  • Primary classes for children with autism, severe learning difficulties, profound and complex medical needs

You’ll be working in a small class of up to 10 pupils or within the community 1:1, 2:1 or in small groups delivering individual learning or development plans. You’ll work closely with school’s senior leadership, specialists, staff and parents to plan, deliver and assess pupil’s learning and social progress. Working with special needs is heavily based on interaction and relationship building which will be vital to fulfilling this role.

For all positions personal care (toilet support) is required, being open to this is vital. Having experience or training with moving and handling is highly beneficial for these positions due to the needs of pupils but is not essential.

What they are looking for?

  • Someone confident or interested in supporting children with special needs
  • Previous experience working with mental health, autism, learning difficulties, medical needs, physical disabilities or speech and language is beneficial but not essential
  • Someone committed to full-time work with an interest in permanent positions within the school
  • Someone with a updated Child DBS or able to apply in order to secure position
  • Someone who is open to supporting with personal care or moving and handling of children

  • Competitive pay GBP60-70 per day (negotiable dependant on experience/training)
  • Full-time work Monday to Friday during school term time – school holidays are OFF for staff
