Support Assistants required in Special Educational Needs School

A Special Educational Needs School are looking for Support Assistants for a vareity of roles. The school cater for 2-19 year olds with a variety of needs including:

- PMLD

- SLD

- MLD

- Autism

- Physical Disabilities

The school are looking for 2 full time permanent Teaching Assistants as well as some part time and temporary Teaching Assistants. The class sizes are 5-6 pupils with a teacher and 2/3 Teaching Assistants where staff can be used across the school. Due to the needs of the pupils all candidates must be able to offer personal care and any SEN training such as Makaton, Moving and Handling, Team Teach or similar would be an advantage.

The ideal candidate would have experience working with SEN, this could be personal or professional experience and with adults or children. Candidates without experience but a passion to work with SEN would also be considered as there would be alot of training offered. You must be able to use your initiative and be prepared to get fully involved in the role.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
