Supply Teaching Assistant required for Primary PRU - Manchester

Temporary (supply) Teaching Assistants required for central Manchester Primary PRU.

I am currently recruiting for a teaching assistant with extensive experience working with pupils with SEN needs. This school reguarly require short term staff to cover sickness, absenses and extra support. Teaching assistants can be called upon at short notice, usually in the morning, to travel to this school that has sites in Withington, Gorton and Wythenshawe.

This school is a Primary Pupil Referral that caters for pupils in KS1 and KS2 with social, emotional and mental health needs. Pupils can show challenging behaviours through physical and verbal aggression. An up-to-date Team - Teach certificate is highly desirable.

The role will involve working in co-operation with a qualified teacher to support the ongoing development of all pupils. Due to the specific needs of the pupils the ideal teaching assistant will have experience of delivering targeted interventions designed to support the optimal development of all pupils. We would also welcome applications from those who are less experienced but can demonstrate a genuine passion for supporting pupils with SEN.

The ideal teaching assistant will have:

• A level 2 teaching assistant qualification (level 3 desirably)
• Team- Teach
• An understanding of how to cater for pupils with SEN needs
• A commitment to assuring that all pupils have the necessary support in order to achieve the optimal potential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
