Supply Teacher

  • Location: All
  • Sector: Primary
  • Date posted: 31/03/2020

Job description

Are you a teacher seeking a new role from September 2020? Are you considering supply work?

We become busier for supply teaching work each year and some of our busiest areas include North and South Sheffield.  We are recruiting now for supply staff in September and are happy to help with any queries you may have surrounding starting supply for the first time or returning as a supply teacher. Although September seems far in the future, we are conducting online interviews throughout the school closures to ensure candidates are fully vetted and ready to start when schools reopen. Supply is often considered to not provide consistent work but we are exceptionally busy meaning most teachers can expect at least two days per week, but lots of teachers regularly work five days per week.

Summary of the role:

  • Complete flexibility with an online personal diary
  • Introductions to local schools
  • No planning/additional responsibilities
  • Opportunities to cover all ages
  • Flexibility to choose which schools you visit
  • Opportunity to try new age groups

Ideal candidates:

  • Qualified teachers who are seeking more flexibility
  • Newly qualified teachers who are seeking to gain experience
  • Teachers who are leaving a full-time role
  • Part-time permanent teachers who are seeking additional days of work
  • Teachers seeking to transition to another keystage
