Position: Supply Teacher

Location: Newport

Working Hours: Monday – Friday (8:30 – 15:00)

Start Date: September 2023 (New Academic Year)

Are you a dedicated and enthusiastic teacher seeking a new opportunity in the academic year of 2023-2024? Look no further! Teaching Personnel is proud to partner with a thriving mixed secondary school in Cwmbran, and we are currently searching for a passionate Supply Teacher to cover a full-time position until the end of term.

About the School:

Our partner school is a medium to large sized comprehensive, catering to both boys and girls aged 11 to 18 years old. With a student body of around 1000 students, the school provides a vibrant and inclusive learning environment, where every pupil's success is nurtured and celebrated.

Key Responsibilities:

  • As a Supply Teacher at our esteemed secondary school, you will have a crucial role in providing exceptional education to our students. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Delivering engaging and inspiring lessons, ensuring continuity and progress in students' learning.
  • Managing classroom behaviour effectively, fostering a positive and respectful learning atmosphere.
  • Building strong relationships with students and staff alike, creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Planning and preparing Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 lessons that cater to the diverse needs of our students.

Requirements:

  • To be the ideal candidate for this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • A passion for teaching and a dedication to helping students reach their full potential.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create an environment conducive to learning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with colleagues and engage students effectively.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
