A school in Stockport is seeking a Supply Teacher to aid the school in it's re-integration of students to the mainstream process. After a significant lay off, students are now returning to normal timetable. However, there is a need for a supply teacher owing to the potential for further staff shielding due to the ongoing pandemic.

Requirements for this role:

  • QTS.
  • Secondary school experience.
  • A passion for working with young people.

Highlights of this role include:

  • Covering lessons for absent staff, working on a Cover Supervisor basis. 
  • Working across multiple subjects, the required individual will be have to be able to effectiely manage behaviour in adherance with school policy. 
  • Offering consistent support and guidance within lessons, as well as across the school site.
  • Managing any pastoral issues that may arise.
  • Ensuring that students with SEN are catered for efficiently, as well as those students with specific EAL needs. 
  • Offering feedback on student performance and engagement within the lesson.

Whilst there is no planning/marking attached to this position, it is expected that the required individual will be a well organised, dilligent individual who is able to inpire students.

It is essential that the applicant:

  • Holds excellent interpersonal skills.

The school:

  • Located near central Stockport. the school is a short distance from Manchester City Centre.
  • There are multiple public transport links located close by.
  • M60 motorway is also located close by.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
