Supply Teacher

Date posted : 15/10/20
£100 - 650 per week

Job description

This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...

-          Are you a teacher looking for flexible daily supply teaching?

-          Do you live in the central Manchester area, have a recognised teaching qualification (secondary or further education) and are available for 1 to 5 days each week covering lessons in secondary schools and colleges?

If the answer to any of the above is yes then see details below:

Numerous secondary schools and colleges in Manchester and the wider surrounding areas are getting inundated with teaching absences, both planned and unplanned as a result of COVID19 isolations and awaiting tests/results. They therefore require teachers who can go into school on a daily basis to cover lessons in a variety of subjects across the entire age range (11 – 16 schools; 16 – 18 colleges).

Teaching Personnel support these schools and colleges with teaching staff who can cover and attend school for 8:30 – 9am each day and finish the school day at approximately 3pm (school dependent). This role would suit any teacher who is looking for flexible supply teaching or is perhaps only available for temporary work. There are no additional responsibilities expected as part of the supply teaching position, with daily supply teachers not being required to plan or mark work.

Highlights of the daily supply teacher role:

  • Competitive rate of pay, ranging between GBP100 - GBP130 per day depending on school, level of cover and requirement
  • Options for full flexibility with access to an online diary where you can update your availability in line with your own personal schedule
  • Teach in a range of different schools and colleges building up further experience with regards behaviour management, networking with fellow professionals and gaining a reputation where schools request the same teachers back for consistency and continuity
  • Temporary, daily, weekly and more longer term roles available but full flexibility over opportunities
  • Utilise daily supply to transition to your next full time, long term, permanent teaching position if applicable

Working with a range of schools and colleges, there are plenty of options to teach in an outstanding school in central Manchester or a more challenging school in Trafford for example. Teaching Personnel work with in excess of 30 schools and colleges in this area who request teachers for daily supply cover. There are requests which come in, in advance with notice for the following day or week as well as many requests on a reactive basis with morning calls being taken from 7 – 8:30am for example.

As a result, we are looking for teachers who are flexible and adaptable in their approach interested in teaching in a variety of schools and able to showcase themselves in a short period of time. Any teachers who are looking for flexible supply teaching with minimal responsibility and the option for plenty of work, should apply now for immediate consideration.

Please apply now with your latest, most relevant CV for a call back within 24 hours.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We offer all our registered candidates FREE child protection and prevent duty training. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
