Supply Teacher

Date posted : 16/09/20
£100 - 120 per day

Job description

This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...

Are you a qualified teacher or any experience level looking for casual supply teaching within secondary schools in the South Manchester area?

Many of the secondary schools we work with in the central and south Manchester areas of Levenshulme, Chorlton and Trafford areas require supply teachers to teach on a casual basis within their schools for the duration of this academic year. As we have started the new academic year and look ahead to October half term, many schools have school trips and run CPD courses for their in-house teachers; therefore requiring supply teachers to cover on a variety of days for shorter term assignments. This has only been intensified by the COVID19 bubble cover being required and already requested for on an daily basis.

The successful supply teacher may have a specialism which will often be advantageous and be matched with, so if you are a Humanities teacher or Art teacher for example and interested in covering on a general basis, apply now.

Highlights of the General Cover teaching role:

  • Casual, flexible supply teaching available in the South Manchester area
  • Range of secondary schools to teach in:
    • Single gender, academically strong as well as more diverse and behaviour orientated secondary schools
    • Pay between GBP100 - GBP120 for a day’s cover depending on the school and role
    • Opportunity to gain a variety of experiences and network within secondary schools
    • Full flexibility of your own online diary, making yourself available for specific days as required

With supply teaching, planning and marking is not a requirement given that you will cover lessons which are already created and planned. We work with school supporting them with day to day supply cover with schools often asking for the same teachers back for continuity and consistency. Therefore, you will benefit from regular and consistent work in line with availability and requirements.

If you are a teacher, ranging from NQT to a teacher on the upper pay scale and available for a selection of days each week or for shorter or longer periods of time, apply now for immediate consideration. Please ensure you apply using the link below attaching your most relevant teaching experience.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We offer all our registered candidates FREE child protection and prevent duty training. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
