Secondary School Cover Supervisor – Burry Port

Location: Burry Port, Carmarthenshire
Employment Type: Flexible Supply / Full or Part-Time Opportunities

Are you looking for a flexible job in education that fits around your life? We are recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors for secondary schools in Burry Port. Help students stay on track and gain hands-on experience in a school environment — ideal for future teachers or youth workers.

Duties Include:

  • Supervising classes during teacher absences

  • Delivering set work and maintaining a safe, respectful environment

  • Managing behaviour and responding to pupil needs

  • Liaising with school staff to report on pupil performance and behaviour

Essential Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills

  • Previous experience working with young people aged 11–16

  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to undergo one)

  • Reliable, punctual, and adaptable

  • Right to work in the UK

Preferred:

  • Understanding of the Welsh curriculum

  • Fluency in Welsh is a bonus but not essential
