Are you an energetic, sporty Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role where every day is different?
We are seeking enthusiastic and active TAs to work across a variety of schools in the Rhondda Cynon Taff area. This may include SEN schools or supporting children with ALN (Additional Learning Needs). If you enjoy using movement, sport, and practical activities to engage learners, this role is perfect for you.

Our partner schools are inclusive, friendly, and committed to supporting every pupil. You may work in mainstream, specialist provisions, or environments where pupils benefit from additional support. Many settings encourage physical activity, outdoor learning, and wellbeing-focused approaches.

About the Role

• Support pupils across Primary, Secondary, or SEN settings.
• Provide tailored assistance to children with ALN, which may include ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or learning delays.
• Use sport, movement, and active tasks to engage and motivate learners.
• Assist teachers with classroom activities, small-group support, and behavioural regulation.
• Build positive, nurturing relationships with pupils to help them achieve academically and emotionally.
• Promote a safe, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment.

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Sporty, energetic, and confident leading active learning sessions.
• Patient, adaptable, and passionate about supporting diverse learners.
• Able to quickly build supportive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Positive, reliable, and eager to contribute to a team environment.
• Experienced with ALN/SEN (beneficial but not essential).

Requirements

Teaching Personnel can assist you with obtaining:

• Education Workforce Council (EWC) registration
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
• Two recent, relevant references
