We are seeking to employ Sports Graduates as part of Teaching Personnel's Future Teacher programme. • Join a successful school setting and gain experience working with excellent practitioners
  • Priority status for SCITT programmes at your school in upcoming academic years
  • Paid employment for the duration (ÂŁ60+ per day)
  • Opportunity to work on a full or part time basis, dependant on requirements at school
  • Facilitate learning for students in your subject specialism (all Graduates welcome to apply)

The Future Teachers programme is an initiative to help support schools across Barnsley and the surrounding areas to find their next cohort of trainee teachers, as well as supporting Sports graduates in their first steps in to a career in working in education. This is a comprehensive scheme which will enable Sports graduates to start their teacher training programmes with an advanced skill-set and comfortability working with students of mixed ages and abilities.

Whilst working as a graduate teaching assistant during the Future Teachers programme, you will hold set responsibilities which will include;

  • Providing subject knowledge and support during lessons
  • Delivering revision and booster sessions for key students in the cohort
  • Working with students on a 1-to-1 basis enabling them to access the curriculum
  • Covering full lessons under the guidance of teaching staff, including effectively managing the classroom

If you are looking to secure a post in the upcoming academic year as a Graduate teaching assistant and could benefit from the Future Teachers programme, please send your CV in response to this advert for further information and to register your interest.
