I work with referral schools that cater for pupils with challenging behaviour and learning difficulties with work opportunities for teaching assistants in the Exeter area. I am looking for an enthusiastic individual with a keen interest in supporting young learners in class or in other provisions.
You will be responsible for assisting the class teacher and providing one-to-one/group support to students of primary or secondary level (dependent on experience and age group preference).
The ideal applicant will have prior experience working in the classroom and have the ability to support children and teenagers with SEN; in particular those with Autism, Asperger's, Social Emotional & Mental Health or behavioural issues. A valid qualification in 'Team Teach' or other similar 'positive handling' training would be beneficial but not essential.
If you don't have current experience working with children it is preferable, but not essential. We are looking for Sport graduates to join our fantastic growing team. If you are energetic, motivated and have a passion for making a difference in young children's lives then I would love to hear from you. If you have any questions or queries about this role then don't hisitate to contact Ryan at or 01392 267288.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
